This weekend in Boulder, art and literature take center stage. At noon on Saturday, a beginner-friendly spray paint program for kids aged 7-12 takes place at the George Reynolds Branch library. Participants get to create a vibrant banner under the guidance of muralist Bobby Lopez. The banner will be displayed at the library.

On Saturday morning at 11 a.m., a book signing event for The Lost Board by Alice Feagan occurs at Boulder Book Store. The author will discuss and sign copies of her new book.

The art of oral storytelling comes alive on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Boulder Public Library. The Storyteller's Stage event features Spellbinders Storytellers sharing tales that have been passed down through generations.

Later that evening, at 7 p.m., Edward Hamlin talks about his book Sonata In Wax at Inkberry Books in Niwot. This musical mystery weaves together stories set in World War I Boston and the present day.

Sunday's events include a workshop where participants can design unique charms for Crocs using Shrinky Dink technology at the Boulder Public Library. The Make Your Own Jibbitz event starts at 1 p.m.

For literature enthusiasts, a Jane Austen Book Club meets at the George Reynolds Branch on Sunday at 2 p.m. The group discusses Emma over tea and coffee.

Theatergoers can enjoy Friends/Romans/Countrymen at the Roe Green Theatre on Sunday evening. This comical-historical take on Shakespeare's Julius Caesar offers a fresh perspective on the classic tale.

Monday's activities include a DIY instruments craft at the Boulder Public Library. Children and their caregivers can create and decorate drums and windchimes.

Music lovers can head to Chautauqua Meadow on Monday at 5:30 p.m. for Meadow Music. This event features original kids' music and a toddler-friendly nature hike.

The following days bring more events, including a Diversity Book Club discussion at the George Reynolds Branch on Tuesday and a Canadian Brass concert at the Chautauqua Auditorium.

Wednesday's events include a Boulder Writer's Alliance meeting at the Boulder Public Library and a ceramic class at the NoBo Library. The Bands On The Bricks concert series continues on Wednesday with a performance by The Saint Cecilia.

Bookstore events continue with a signing for Imogen in Waiting by Lindsay Bartels at Boulder Book Store on Wednesday.
