Meow Wolf Brings Hollywood Magic to LA

Los AngelesFriday, July 17, 2026

In a bold move to shake up the Los Angeles art scene, Meow Wolf is teaming up with legendary animation house Titmouse to create an immersive experience like no other. Their new LA venue, set to open in 2026, promises to transport visitors into a fantastical world of sci-fi wonder.

Meow Wolf's creative team is no stranger to pushing boundaries. With roots in punk and psychedelia, they've grown into a global phenomenon with sprawling installations in Denver, Las Vegas, Houston, and beyond. For their LA venture, they're turning to Titmouse, the masterminds behind hits like 'Big Mouth' and 'Star Trek: Lower Decks.'

The partnership brings together two like-minded entities. Titmouse is known for its eclectic style, which blends French surrealism, anime, and comic book flair. Meow Wolf's James Stephenson says the studio's 'house vibe' is all about embracing artistic freedom and taking risks.

Visitors to the LA venue will be treated to a mix of live-action and animation. Titmouse's work will be showcased on cinema screens, projections, and even full-room experiences. The exhibition will follow the journey of three main characters through a converted movie house and into a fantastical realm.

Titmouse co-founder Chris Prynoski sees this collaboration as a chance to push the boundaries of animation. By working with multiple directors, each with their own unique style, the studio aims to create a one-of-a-kind experience.

The LA venue is just the beginning. Meow Wolf and Titmouse are already planning their next project together – an animated series and a future New York exhibition. With their combined creative forces, the possibilities are endless.
